Dear visitor,

As you may have heard by now, the Research School for Asian, African, and Amerindian Studies (CNWS) is to be discontinued as of 1 September 2008.

A number of tasks of the CNWS will be taken over by other institutes within the faculty, especially by the newly to be established Institute of Area Studies (LIAS).

There will, however, be a transition period between the formal closing of the CNWS and the effective start of the new institutes.

During this period we will go on providing you with relevant update information, on our new website.
